Is a friend indeed as Yelloway Coaches jump to the rescue…. (with a little help from our friends at Odyssey Coach Sales)
On Friday afternoon Ceri Taylor of Applegates Coaches in Gloucestershire found himself in a position no coach operator wants to be in…. he was one double deck bus short for his contracts. However, lurking in the wings was a soon to become friend from Yelloway Coaches.
Ceri then obviously needed a replacement quickly……and by the Monday afternoon he was the new owner of our (M18 YEL above) Volvo B7TL Alexander ALX400 79 Seat Belted Decker!
This was aided by our friends at Odyssey Coach Sales and especially Darren and our team at Yelloway Coaches Ltd. Over the weekend they had arranged to meet Ceri at Hilton Park Services on the M6 to speed up delivery and get Ceri and his team at Applegates Coaches back on the road without further delay.
Following a quick PMI (Periodic Maintenance Inspection), the Volvo was out on Tuesday morning helping get Gloucestershire’s students to school, job done!
Whilst no coach operator wants to be in this position it’s important to remember that these things can happen to anyone and here at Yelloway Coaches we will always try our best to help a fellow coach operator in need.
