DVSA Earned Recognition

As a family run company, we have always strived to ensure we run a compliant and well-maintained operation. In 2019 we were encouraged by a member of the DVSA to apply for the Earned Recognition scheme which is a voluntary scheme introduced in 2017 and operated by the DVSA. Here’s an overview of the scheme as quoted by the DVSA:

“The DVSA Earned Recognition scheme is a voluntary scheme for all operators who can demonstrate a strong track record of compliance and adherence to standards. Operators must be able to show that they have robust systems and processes that promote effective and proactive transport management.”

Lets go back to the very beginning. As a pro-active company always looking to improve and be an industry leader we set the wheels in motion to achieve the Earned Recognition status. This however was immediately halted by COVID-19 and the introduction of lockdown in early 2020. By October 2020 we underwent our first independent auidt via an approved DVSA Earned Recognition auditor who was very complimentary of our polices, proceedures and processes that are in place throughout the company. Unfortunately, in 2021 we were hit by another lockdown which yet again put the brakes on our quest.

As soon as lockdown was lifted and operations were underway we continued to fine tweak our systems, distribute more in-depth training to our drivers, engineers and office staff, put more systems in place, above and beyond requirements to ensure we always remain more than just compliant but an exemplary operator within the Northwest of England and beyond. The audit progressed for 3 days, we as a business were required to provide large amounts of evidence to prove our systems, our training, polices, processes and procedures were operated within the company. 2022 markes a milestone as the company gained Earned Recognition status. We were now one of the first two coach operators in the Greatest Manchester Area to be accredited.

Fast forward to 2026, we, as a company are proud to have once again achieved accreditation under the Earned Recognition Scheme, successfully completing our third audit. This is a significant milestone for us and a reflection of the hard work, dedication and commitment that goes into maintaining our high standards year after year.

Achieving this accreditation for th third year running demonstrates our consistency and our ongoing commitment to safety, compliance and operational excellence. It highlights the importance we place on maintaining the highest standards across every aspect of the business, ensuring that our vehicles, drivers and operations continue to exceed the required industry standards.

For us, Earned Recognition is more than just an accreditation. It is a reflection of our dedication to providing a safe, reliable and professional coach service that our customers can trust. As we look ahead, we remain committed to building on this achievement and continuing to deliverthe high standards that have been at the heart of our business since the very beginning.
