Above and beyond, we go that extra mile
Our fleet is routinely inspected every 4 weeks by our in-house fleet engineers; that's 40% more than the DVSA recommends and includes items covered by the Department of Transport annual MOT test.

We consistently achieve ‘Green Zero’, the best possible Operator Compliance Risk Score (OCRS), measured with roadside checks by the Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA).
This is in effect a vote of confidence in the roadworthiness of our vehicles. It’s a relative measure compared with other operators. It’s fair to say that not many coach operators can offer anything like the Yelloway level of safety assurance. It requires resources that most simply haven’t got.
Enhanced DBS & Fully Vetted
Yelloway is officially one of the most safety-conscious coach and bus operators in the UK, particularly when it comes to safeguarding children. All drivers are Enhanced DBS checked every three years and have full vetting checks prior to employment. In addition all our drivers are specially trained to meet the requirement of safeguarding children.

As a licensed operator, you can be assured that our maintenance systems are accepted by the Traffic Commissioner. We are a committed and professional operator.
Independent Inspections & Audits
As a member of the FTA (Freight Transport Association) we additionally subscribe for independent vehicle inspections and record audits every 4 weeks to ensure we are complaint and in-line. This gives us and more importantly our customers the peace of mind that we are operating a safe, legal and efficient fleet.
Maintaining Excellence
Our attention to vehicle maintenance gives you peace of mind, with safety and reliability exceeding the highest industry standards.
Before each journey, a 30-point safety check is carried out; this includes over 100 safety related items.
Independent tyre and brake test inspections are carried out every week with repairs or replacements being made.
Our on-board Air Conditioning Systems (for hot and cold heating/cooling) are routinely checked independently every 12 months.
We always go that extra mile, we don't just do the bare minimum.
